LITIGATION

No one wants to end up in litigation.  When you do, you need an effective advocate and counselor.  Edward M. Olson has the skills and experience you need.

The cost of litigation can often exceed the benefits.  So, a good attorney will learn the needs and goals of the client to make certain that both attorney and client are working towards the same goal.

Going to court is often the only option available for parties who cannot settle their differences on their own.  Whether you are in small claims court or the Federal District court, you want your attorney to be their for you.  The attorney should explain what is going on now and  what to expect.

Since 1985 Edward M. Olson has been handling cases in the Michigan Circuit Courts in Oakland, Macomb and Wayne Counties.  He has also handled occasional matters in Lapeer County, Clare County and many Michigan District Courts.  He has successfully  handled appeals from these cases in the Michigan Court of Appeals and even to the Michigan Supreme Court.  In Federal Court, Edward M. Olson is admitted to the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan (and has been admitted in other Federal District Courts on individual matters).  He is admitted to the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.

In Federal Court matters, it is important to have an attorney who is up to date because all of such courts have gone paperless.  Only attorneys, like Edward M. Olson, who have completed the training courses and registered with the US District Court and Bankruptcy Court can appear and represent clients in those courts.

Edward M. Olson has handled many cases in arbitration before the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD), the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), the Pacific Stock Exchange, and the American Arbitration Association (among others).  He is currently an arbitrator for FINRA (formerly known as the NASD and NYSE).

Whether your case involves new and uncharted questions of law or is a relatively simple and routine action, you need an attorney who will give you straight answers about what is going on and what options you have.

Edward M. Olson is known for his timely, practical, and understandable answers to your questions.
