SECURITIES

Are you faced with a decision to either buy or sell and interest in a business?  Do you expect to open (or close) a brokerage account?  Have you already invested your money and you do not know where to turn next?

Federal and State securities laws can affect many transactions that you would not expect.  The anti-fraud provisions often come in to play a significant role when businesses or investments do not perform as you would expect.

While he was in-house counsel for Olde Discount Corporation, Edward M. Olson was a registered representative with Series 7, and 63 (federal and state securities representative) licenses.  He also had a Series 4 (options principal) license and acted as a principal for both the subsidiary securities firm and the related credit union.  He also answered to the Board of Directors for McDonnel Douglas Capital Corporation and was responsible for the quarterly and annual reporting for the publicly held limited partnerships it sponsored.

Edward M. Olson has represented brokerage firms and individuals in many arbitration proceedings since 1985.  He has been an arbitrator for the NASD for many years and (more recently) is currently an arbitrator for the NYSE.

If you face securities law issues, you need an attorney with the knowledge and experience to handle your claims efficiently and competently.  If you are looking for a private mediator or arbitrator for your securities claims, you want an attorney with substantial experience working for brokers and investors.  Either way, Edward M. Olson is one of only a few attorneys in Southeastern Michigan with these credentials.
